Vineyard Info
The story of the Gabriel Meffre Winery began in 1936, when Gabriel and his wife, both passionate about wine, created their ‘Négociant-Vinificateur’ business in Gigondas. More than 80 years later, the family business has built on its strong foundations and has established its reputation as a leading Winery in the southern Rhone Valley.
GABRIEL MEFFRE "SIGNATURE" WINES. Delicious and savoury from day one: this is the commitment of our Gabriel Meffre "signature" wines. For each appellation, and in keeping with the characteristics of the vintage, our know-how is recognisable through our experienced blending of "terroirs" and grape varieties. Saint Peter is the most well known of all the apostles and is considered as the first Pope.
Saint Peter’s Tower in Crozes-Hermitage, proudly overlooks the village from its fortified vantage point. Like this monument, our Crozes-Hermitage stands out in the range thanks to its full-bodied and spicy character. This Crozes Hermitage is made from Syrah grapes from soils of granite slopes, pebbles stones and terraces on the left bank of the Rhône River.
