Vineyard Info
The vineyards are partly located on the slopes of Monte Cetona, in the heart of the green hills and vineyards of the Tuscan district known as Valdichiana. They are placed in the southern-east part of Tuscany, far away from the coasts, under Cetona and San Casciano municipalities.
The soil is mainly composed by calcareous clay and the main grape variety planted here is Sangiovese -supported by smaller quantities of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. These terrains derive directly from the deep-sea water that emerged during geological era of Pliocene.
All the vineyard’s operations - from winter pruning, to bunch-thinning in summer are carried out by expert, local hands.
