Brie de Meaux has a soft and delicate white rind. The interior of the cheese is straw-yellow, creamy and soft. As the cheese ages, the rind develops brown patches and it tastes stronger. Brie cheese has a rich taste with sweet and buttery flavours of mushrooms or truffles and almonds. It pairs well with Bordeaux wine, Pinot Noir as well as Champagne.
